What is the Plasma Pen Treatment?

Plasma Pen is a non-invasive/non-surgical, cost-effective treatment to address many signs of aging with minimal downtime. Plasma Pen is able to treat fine lines, wrinkles, crows feet, lip lines, smile lines, heavy eyelids, angry “11” expression lines and neck lines.

How is the Plasma Pen Treatment Performed?

Plasma Pen uses plasma energy to promote skin tightening and rejuvenation as well as help your skin replenish collagen. The Plasma pen is an electrical tool that utilizes ionized gas in the air to create plasma. This plasma energy arc treats only the outermost layers of the skin. When plasma touches the surface of the skin, heat is generated and results in a contraction and tightening of the skin. A small carbon mark is left on the skin that will flake off in 5 – 7 days.

How long does it last?

The results of Plasma Pen are long lasting with the benefits of the treatment noticeable 3 – 4 weeks after the first treatment, and optimal results in 8 – 12 weeks. For some, an additional treatment may be required to see maximum results. Results are long term but do not stop the natural aging process.

How much is the Plasma Pen Treatment?

Treatment per area starts at $400.

Does the Treatment Hurt?

Each area to be treated is covered with a topical anesthetic to diminish discomfort. Everyone tolerates the treatment differently, but most say on a scale from 1-10 it’s about a 2 or 3.

Is the Plasma Treatment right for me?

You may not be a good candidate for the treatment if your skin develops hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation or keloids as a result of a skin injury.

How do I take care of my skin after the treatment?

Your post care plan will be discussed during your consultation. Immediately after your treatment your skin may be red, tender and swollen in the treatment area. Swelling may occur in the first 2-3 days, and is completely normal. The small carbon dots on the treated area will flake from your skin between day 5 and 7.

What are possible side effects?

Possible side effects are inflammation, scarring or minor change in skin pigmentation, these are very rare, but must be understood before deciding to move forward. It is also very important to follow the post care instructions closely for the best results.
